|Cleveland Mitchell is star basketball player, teen fitness fanatic and aspiring model based in California.|
I've been pleased that an increasing number of people have noticed the tab at the top of this page that says "Be Featured on modelJOCK.com." There is so much talent that has yet to be discovered by professional photoshoots, and it's an honor when models — both professional and beginners — contact me to be featured.
Such is the case with Cleveland Mitchell, an 18-year-old student at College of the Redwoods, in California. This ripped teen jock, a star player on the college's basketball team, also has plans to launch his own modeling career. In this exclusive interview, Cleveland shares his plans, and some of his own photos (stay tuned — I very well may be doing a shoot with him during my next trip to northern Califonia this year).
What are you studying at school? What are your career goals?
I am currently studying pre-law at the College of The Redwoods. I aspire to become
an attorney at law.
At what age did you start playing sports, and what are your favorite sports to play?
I started playing sports at six years of age. My first sport was football, but I quickly fell in love with the game of basketball.
Do you have a special diet that you use to stay in shape?
High protein, low carb diet, and trying really hard to stay away from fast food and junk food, which are my weakness.
What body part do you think is your best feature, and why?
I think its a dynamic duo between my abs and my smile, because they complement each other — the abs being the hard side of me, and the smile the sweet and desirable side of me.
What are your ultimate goals, in terms of your sports/fitness regimen and your physical being?
My ultimate goal in terms of sports is to play basketball at a higher and higher level until I am unable to continue. Hopefully that means playing overseas professionally — that's really where I want to get to, but I also do have aspirations to do some modeling, which is why I try to keep my body in tip-top shape.
You're working on launching your own Web page. What are your goals with that, and what can people expect to find there?
I began my Website last summer when I really tried to kick-start my modeling career. My goal with that was to hopefully have a major modeling agency to notice me and feature me in their shoots and shows. You could find head shots there and some out doors shots — it's currently not up and running, for technical reasons.
What advice would you share with other people who want to stay in shape?
I would tell them to stay persistent, to have a plan and stick to it no matter what, even if they don't notice any major improvements within the first couple of weeks or even months. Persistence pays off in the end.
What made you think of contacting modelJOCK.com to be featured?
I was doing a little Google surfing and it popped up in the Google search, and it looked like the perfect site that I would love to be a part of.
